According to Wu, the Base chain AI Launchpad project CreatorBid was originally scheduled to conduct a public offering of the token BID on December 9 on the Fjord Foundry platform. However, it faced multiple attacks that resulted in the failure of the issuance. The attacks included a massive DDoS attack (over 7.50 billion requests), bypassing the $10,000 purchase limit per wallet, and front-end functionality failure. Records from the smart contract show that within just 40 seconds, it received 2.50 million USDC, with a single address accumulating token purchases valued at up to $500,000. CreatorBid announced that it would not recognize any tokens generated from this sale, and these tokens would be considered worthless. The project team plans to initiate a full refund for legitimate participants and requires all refund requests to pass AML/KYC verification to ensure that funds do not return to malicious actors. The application period is 14 days, and any funds not claimed by the expiration will be retained by the project team.
