Bleap, founded by former Revolut employees Joao Alves and Guilherme Gomes, has announced the completion of a $2.30 million seed round, led by Ethereal Ventures, with participation from Consensys founder Joe Lubin, Maven11, Alliance DAO, and others. Bleap is a self-custodied stablecoin payment application designed to provide "blockchain bank account" services, allowing users to spend stablecoins in the real world through a MasterCard debit card without conversion fees and offering up to 2% cashback. The platform also leverages DeFi to provide savings rates higher than traditional banks, with plans to officially launch in 2025 and introduce a token in 2026. (TheBlock)
