Poland has officially notified the European Commission of plans for their first nuclear power station under the Euratom Treaty.

The announcement is a key milestone for the $49.00B project, which features three Westinghouse AP1000 reactors.

The Lubiatowo-Kopalino site aims for first reactor to be in operation by 2033, supporting Poland's energy security and diversification from Russian energy sources.
