Ken Griffin's Citadel and private equity giant Heights Capital build positions in Nano Labs, holding nearly 20%

According to documents disclosed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Citadel, one of the world's largest hedge funds, and private equity giant Heights Capital Management recently built positions in U.S. stock market-listed company @NanoLabsLtd (Nano Labs Ltd, Nasdaq code: NA), with their combined holdings approaching 20% of the company's outstanding shares.

The documents show that Citadel holds approximately 2.08 million Class A common shares through its various entities, accounting for 9.5% of the outstanding shares. It is also clearly stated that Citadel's position building is a financial investment and does not seek to control the company or participate in its governance. This statement has also been interpreted by the market as Citadel being optimistic about the medium- to long-term development prospects of Nano Labs, choosing to enter the market as a "strategic fellow runner."

At the same time, Heights Capital Management, one of the world's largest private financial services companies, and its related entity CVI Investments also disclosed holdings of approximately 2.11 million Class A common shares of Nano Labs, accounting for 9.9% of the outstanding shares, becoming one of the company's major shareholders. Heights Capital Management is registered in San Francisco, USA, and focuses on high-growth companies in the field of technological innovation.
