On July 17 (UTC+8), according to documents obtained by independent crypto reporter L0la L33tz through the Freedom of Information Act, the U.S. Marshals Service held only 28,988 Bitcoin as of March of this year, worth approximately $3.4 billion, far less than the market generally believed. Previous estimates suggested that the U.S. government's overall crypto asset holdings were as high as $25.0 billion.
