On July 16, the U.S. Democratic Party Whip stated that there are no additional cryptocurrency bill votes planned in the House of Representatives today.
Previously, the U.S. House of Representatives failed to pass a procedural vote on a crypto bill, and the President is very "angry" and is communicating with the members who blocked the crypto bill from entering the House of Representatives. The failure of this vote has prevented three cryptocurrency bills, including stablecoin regulations, and a defense spending bill from entering the formal deliberation stage.
Voting results: 196 votes in favor vs. 222 votes against, the main contents of the included crypto bills are:
· GENIUS Act (stablecoin regulations)
· CLARITY Act (digital asset market structure regulation)
· Anti‑CBDC Surveillance State Act (preventing excessive monitoring of central bank digital currencies)
