Bank of America: 26% of respondents believe Bessent will be the next Federal Reserve Chairman

Bank of America's July global fund manager survey shows that U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent is the most popular candidate to succeed Federal Reserve Chairman Powell. President Trump is expected to nominate a new Federal Reserve Chairman in the second half of 2025, while Powell's term will end in May 2026. The survey shows that 26% of respondents believe Bessent will be the next Federal Reserve Chairman, followed by 17% supporting Walsh, 14% supporting Waller, and 7% believing Hassett will be elected.
