Ravencoin has many similar origins to Litecoin - both are from code forks of the original Bitcoin code - a code fork not a chain fork - with various changes for each. Both were fair launched with no premine or fundraise and both are open source.

This description of Litecoin needs to change now. It is not a hard or soft fork of Bitcoin. It does not share the blockchain history. It had its own genesis block.

Until these 'official' descriptions are changed and show accuracy, it is not reliable.

Coinbase, please change your description to accurately describe Litecoin to your users. If you'd like a template I'm sure the foundation can provide you one. That goes for any other exchanges, institutions, or services that have Litecoin provided as well.
