Trump defends his tariff decisions, saying the U.S. has been "taken advantage of" for too long

In an interview with Fox News, US President Trump defended his decision to impose tariffs on foreign trade partners, arguing that the US had been "taken advantage of" for too long and that he was putting his country first. (Golden Ten)
According to previous reports, Trump has sent tariff letters to 24 trade partners in four batches:
1. First batch on July 7 to 14 countries: Japan (25%), South Korea (25%), South Africa (30%), Kazakhstan (25%), Laos (40%), Malaysia (25%), Myanmar (40%), Tunisia (25%), Bosnia and Herzegovina (30%), Indonesia (32%), Bangladesh (35%), Serbia (35%), Cambodia (36%), Thailand (36%).
2. Second batch on July 9 to 8 countries: Brazil (50%), Philippines 20%, Brunei 25%, Moldova 25%, Algeria 30%, Iraq 30%, Sri Lanka 30%, Libya 30%.
3. Third batch on July 10 to 1 country: Canada (35%).
