Sonic Labs Deeply Analyzes Its Self-Developed High-Performance Ethereum Virtual Machine SonicVM

Sonic Labs provides an in-depth analysis of its independently developed high-performance Ethereum Virtual Machine, SonicVM. By introducing new Long-Format instruction encoding, hash function optimization, and instruction scheduling reconstruction, SonicVM achieves an average execution rate of 1300 MGas/s on the Sonic mainnet, approximately 6.5 times higher than Geth. To ensure compatibility, SonicVM uses a self-developed consistency testing framework, connecting to 14 versions of Geth specifications, and has cumulatively run over 16 billion test cases.
