Polygon Foundation CEO Sandeep Nailwal announced the deployment of a new consensus layer called Heimdall 2.0 this Thursday. He stated that this upgrade will enhance the backbone of the Polygon Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchain, shortening the finality of the blockchain to about five seconds.
