Hong Kong is promoting a series of cryptocurrency-supporting legislations through its local council (i.e., the Legislative Council). Hong Kong already had its own stablecoin legislation before the United States passed the "Stablecoin Bill" (GENIUS Act).

He expressed sympathy for the cryptocurrency community, saying that the Biden administration's attacks on the cryptocurrency community also attacked his father, Donald Trump.
