How does Phantom fund your Hyperliquid perp account with just one click via UNIT?

Phantom streamlines the process of funding a Hyperliquid perp account using SOL, into one single user-signed transaction.

1. Deposit SOL to Hyperliquid via Unit:
The user signs a Solana transaction to send SOL through Unit. This is a standard wallet signature and the only onchain interaction required on Solana.

2. Convert SOL to USDC on Hyperliquid Spot:
Once funds arrive on Hyperliquid, Phantom converts SOL to USDC using the spot orderbook.

The swap is executed by an agent wallet controlled by Phantom, meaning no explicit user signature is needed.

Slippage and expected output are estimated in advance using Hyperliquid’s public APIs.

3. Transfer USDC from Spot to Perps:
This step requires a user EIP-712 signature. Phantom can pre-generate the signature via API (with the user’s wallet), allowing of movement of funds from a user's spot balance into their perp balance.
