🔵"Evil" Proposal to Sell Gaza Land Through Crypto Tokens Strongly Opposed
According to a Decrypt report on July 8th by DeThings, the "Great Trust" plan developed by the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and the Tony Blair Institute has sparked controversy. The plan proposes selling land in the Gaza Strip through blockchain tokenization to build Dubai-style artificial islands and a "blockchain trade zone." It also envisions Trump and Musk-themed areas and even suggests paying the departure costs for 500,000 Palestinians, selling public land as digital tokens.
This plan has been strongly condemned by Palestinian activists, who have called it "grotesque and evil." BCG's financial model predicts that 25% of Palestinians will leave, considering the cost lower than reconstruction. Although BCG and others have distanced themselves, the plan has been submitted to the Trump administration. Currently, over 60% of buildings in Gaza are damaged, and experts say that implementing land tokenization in the area would require at least 2-3 years of preparation. The plan is essentially forcing survivors into "exile."
