Survey: Most merchants in Yiwu say they have not heard of stablecoins, and only a few accept stablecoin payments

Market rumors claim that "more than 3,000 merchants in Yiwu use stablecoins, with a monthly turnover of $1.000 billion." A field investigation by 21st Century Business Herald found that only a few merchants currently support stablecoin payments. Most merchants stated that they were unaware of or had doubts about compliance. Huatai Securities previously stated that the on-chain stablecoin flow in Yiwu exceeded $10.00 billion in 2023.
