On July 8, according to MTN News, software developer Polaris Office has become the latest major South Korean company to join the ranks of Korean Won-pegged stablecoins, having submitted a trademark application named POLAKRW for a stablecoin to the Korean Intellectual Property Office, totaling 102 cases. These applications cover three major product categories: computer software and crypto-asset related programs, electronic financial payment agency and crypto-asset brokerage services, and blockchain-based technology services and software development. A Polaris Office spokesperson said, "Stablecoins are the starting point for Web3 transformation and are the digital infrastructure that connects data, payments, and contracts. In the future, we will create a series of new markets and knowledge-sharing platforms around POLAKRW." [Deep Tide TechFlow]
