1. Understand incentives
For most studios, financial incentive is top of mind. But don’t just chase the headline number.
Ask:
•What’s the total size of the package?
•How much is upfront vs milestone-based?
•Is it in USDC or the chain’s native token?
•What’s earmarked for marketing vs UA vs co-branded campaigns?

Example:
“$100K in token for UA at your discretion” is very different from
“$100K in ‘marketing support’ controlled by the chain.”
Same number, wildly different realities. Tread wisely.

Every chain has its own culture and community dynamics.
Ask:
•Who lives here?
•What genres or mechanics resonate?
•Are players here for speculation, collection, or gameplay?

Examples:
@BLOCKLORDS - the flagship MMORPG on @base - listed on @coinbase, yet trades at an $11M FDV.
Why? Gaming doesn’t have PMF yet on Base.

@Seraph_global - a top title on @BNBCHAIN - without a @binance listing, is at a $189M FDV.
BNB has real gaming appetite.

Audience ≠ number of wallets.
Audience = distribution that converts.

What does this chain really care about right now - and are you helping them prove it?

Some want DAUs. Others want TVL. Some want to win the L3 war with a flagship title.
If you’re building a midcore strategy RPG but they’re focused on casual mobile growth, you may be misaligned - no matter how good your deck is.

The best deals are more than financial.
They’re narrative.
Make sure your game is their proof of concept.
