The speaker on this day was Jaehyun Park, CEO of @KLEVA_Protocol. Among the lecture's contents, what particularly caught my attention was stablecoins as a representative use case of RWA. I'm also very concerned about expanding Web3 use cases in the real world. It was surprising that the U.S. Treasury bonds held by stablecoins as reserves already exceed the foreign exchange holdings of entire countries.
The RWA meta seems to have peaked in the mid-to-late 2023 and the first half of 2024, but looking at the passage of the U.S. Genius Act and legislative proposals in Korea, it seems that the era of stablecoins as an RWA use case is just beginning.
