Bessent is right. The left has virtually no new ideas. The only new idea they have is to move further left toward communism. Fortunately we have some time. The right had a head start with Trump 1 in reorienting the republican party toward “America First” since right populism was countervalent against the dominant woke ideology of that time. It will take some years of inter-party struggle for the democratic party to align on left populism because just as the republicans had RINOs, democrats have their own DINOs.
