At @Permissionless, Pipe Network Founder @DavidRhodus shares the benefits of using blockchain to build Pipe:

“Today we have 260,000 nodes in our network. It would be impossible for us to get a bank to do that without forking out a couple hundred grand a week. So blockchain coordination is amazing.

We have all these nodes and if we have any gaps in the network - for example - today we have no nodes in Wyoming and we are getting ready to put some on-chain bounties out next week to fill in Jackson Hole and Cheyenne.

In the history there’s never been an on-chain bounty that has went unfilled. So it’s like a superpower that we can deploy nodes anywhere by paying a small premium on that. That doesn’t exist outside of blockchain.”
