🇯🇵 EMURGO recently supported a "Liquid Democracy" workshop in Tokyo hosted by @CardanoMiyatake.

DReps and JP Cardano community members such as @yuta_cryptox, @KyosukeTakatuki, and CIVIV Committee member @taichiyokoyama_ discussed their views with regards to Cardano, the state of decentralized governance and its future, and strategies to continue expanding Cardano’s ecosystem.

🙌🏼Last weekend, the #Cardano "Liquid Democracy" Tokyo Workshop hosted by @CardanoMiyatake was successfully completed! This workshop conveys the importance of delegation to holders.

This time, @yuta_cryptox, @KyosukeTakatuki, and @taichiyokoyama_ from the Citizens' Committee actively exchanged opinions on "The Current State and Future Prospects of Decentralized Governance" and "Expansion Strategy and Competition with Other Chains."

Akyo commented, "Cardano's major strength is its extremely high security and stability, as it has never experienced a shutdown or hacking incident."

Yuta stated, "Cardano has issues with speed and cost compared to other chains, and the sustainability of SPO rewards is also a major problem. We should aim for an absolute position like 'digital gold,' equivalent to Bitcoin, by solving these issues with new technologies such as Ouroboros Leios."

Taichi commented, "Cardano has low visibility in Silicon Valley, making it difficult to expand projects and attract investment. Strengthening real-world use cases and marketing, and attracting external funds and developers, is essential for future growth."

Furthermore, about half of the participants answered that they "have not delegated," which proves that such sessions to learn about the roles and philosophies of delegation representatives will be increasingly necessary in the future.

It was a valuable opportunity to hear directly from delegation representatives about their philosophies and real thoughts. We aim to expand this initiative globally in the future, creating opportunities for more communities to be exposed to the perspectives of delegation representatives! ✨
