Hong Kong's VMS Group Ventures into Crypto, Plans to Allocate Up to $10.000.000 to Re7 Capital's Strategy
According to Bloomberg, Hong Kong-based multi-family office VMS Group plans to allocate no more than $10.000.000 to a strategy operated by decentralized hedge fund Re7 Capital (the allocation size has not yet been finalized), marking the wealth management firm's first foray into the crypto space. The firm manages nearly $4.000.000.000 in assets.
VMS Managing Partner Elton Cheung stated that this move aims to address the declining liquidity of traditional private equity, while also catering to the growing demand for digital assets from clients. Zhi Li, Head of VMS London, added that the group is exploring the integration of crypto payments into its holding's Vietnamese real estate projects and has observed strong interest in compliant digital asset allocations from younger family members.
