ChainCatcher reports that, according to Cointelegraph, French Member of the European Parliament Sarah Knafo has invited Jan3 founder Samson Mow to visit France to jointly discuss plans for establishing a "strategic Bitcoin reserve" for France and promoting friendly regulations. Mow expressed his anticipation of sparking a "national-level Bitcoin adoption wave" in France and across Europe.
This move comes amid increasing Bitcoin engagement in both the public and private sectors in France, including the French state-owned bank Bpifrance announcing an investment of 27 million USD to support local crypto projects, and Europe's first Bitcoin treasury company, Blockchain Group, increasing its Bitcoin holdings to 1,471 coins.
