Yau Tak-ken pointed out that the healthy development of Web3 depends not only on industry innovation but also on the improvement of regulatory frameworks and policy safeguards to achieve balance. "Only through the combined efforts of the government, legislature, and industry can Hong Kong's Web3 realize true innovation and advance to the new stage of Web3 2.0."
He emphasized that Hong Kong will continue to improve laws and regulations in the virtual assets and Web3 sectors. The Legislative Council will also continue to promote related legislative processes to create a clearer and more predictable development environment for the industry, providing solid institutional support to build a global virtual asset hub.
