
The success of Cardano's decentralized governance is based on active community participation — liquid democracy only works if the community engages.

While we have connected with many original holders in the JP Cardano community, many still remain less active in governance matters due to technical and language barriers — leaving their voting stake stagnant and unrepresented.

To tackle this issue, EMURGO supported local Cardano community leaders in Hiroshima and Fukuoka to meet holders offline - explaining the importance of active governance and encouraging delegation to trusted DReps of their choice who they feel can truly represent their voices.

Last weekend, EMURGO supported the first week of "Liquid Democracy" workshops held in Hiroshima and Fukuoka. The goal is to help ADA holders gain a deeper understanding of and become empowered by decentralized governance.

Hosted by @CardanoMiyatake, the event included CIVIV committee members @taichiyokoyama_ and @nagamaru_panda, as well as local DRep @banC_cardano and @slowhand4040, who engaged in in-depth discussions about "what delegation is" and "why it is important."

We were able to interact directly with many ADA holders and firmly grasp the community's voice. Participants raised lively questions and opinions, and valuable exchanges were born with people who do not usually participate in online discussions.

We will utilize the feedback we received in future activities, and EMURGO will further strengthen its support so that ADA holders can actively participate in decentralized governance.
