Wu Shuo has learned from Digital Asset that Lee Sang-joon, the former CEO of Bithumb who was sentenced to two years in prison in the first trial for accepting bribes such as luxury watches and VIP memberships from virtual currencies XYDO and QVING, was granted bail by the Seoul High Court on June 11, ending his six-month detention since December 2024. The bail conditions include travel restrictions, prohibition from contacting case-related individuals, and a deposit of 50 million Korean won. Kang Jong-hyun, the actual controller of Vidente, and former golfer Ahn Sung-hyun involved in the same case were also granted bail.
