Aggro “Go Wide” Scipi🔵
@ParallelTCG Deck Guide by @quixoticflux888
Scipi has been one of the strongest Paragons in Parallel throughout the Aftermath meta.
His passive ability summons a 0/1 token to the board when you bank a unit (if you don't already have one). This might not sound like much, but it has amazing synergy with many Kathari cards: Standard Bearer, Aetian Subjugate, and Killbox, just to name three.
Your goal with Scipi is to play aggressive, go wide, and refill the board over and over. Even if the opponent can clear the board once or twice, you'll just keep refilling until you overwhelm them on the board or pull off a quick win with Killbox.
Notes on Mulligan:
This deck has an easy mulligan - you're just trying to get a strong early curve, which means having a 1-drop and a 2-drop in your hand, as well as looking for strong tempo cards - especially Magna, the ultimate 3-drop to dominate the early game. Valerusi Striker is usually better than Reliant Gamma on T1 because it doesn't die to the ping from Mercenary Gunslinger.
Don't keep late game cards like Triumph or Drusian - with some rare exceptions, it's usually better to send these back and focus on having as many early game options as possible.
Notes on Playstyle:
Optimize your 0/1 token. You need to sacrifice the token if you want to summon a new one when banking a unit - do this if you have Standard Bearer or Aetian Subjugate on the board, since these provide buffs when new units enter the board. These are also amazing cards to combine with Triumph of Europa - if you can play Triumph with a Standard Bearer or Subjugate on the board, it's an amazing tempo burst that wins games.
Pay attention to Tabula Rasa. You can bank midgame cards like Drusian Exhorator or Cyrene and then cast them from the bank later via Tabula! Tabula is great for cards that don't rely on Muster effects, since Tabula doesn't trigger muster when it copies a unit but it DOES successfully copy all the other text effects.
Drusian and Killbox are your main win conditions. You can also run Memento of the Fallen as an additional way to convert wide boards into wins.
Matchup notes
Shroud - against ND you should win easy by going wide. Against Niamh, be careful and avoid giving them good boards to combo Singularity Steward + Niamh's Dominion on. (Basically, not too many 1/2 health units) - although you can't always avoid this, sometimes you need to take risks. Against Brand, you need to get better tempo than them and deny Brand value somehow.
Earthen - play around Virulent Spores as best you can. Rely on cards that go tall, so Standard Bearer and Aetian Subjugate in particular.
Augencore - go maximum wide and try to have an answer for the first defender juggernaut, Memento crushes this matchup so add it if you're seeing a lot of Augen.
Kathari (Aetio) - go as fast as you can against Aetio, whoever wins board early usually wins matchup and you have the advantage with your extra Scipi tokens.
Marco - it's all about winning the board early. Once you do that, focus on going tall (Standard Bearer, Aetian Subjugate) to play around Cendrillon's Rend Earth. Also be aware of Artillery Volley, don't let high attack units stay on board. Kill Marcolian Bannerman always. Get value trades until you can win with Killbox/Drusian. More specifically, against Cathy just kill their Cathy ASAP when they play her, against Lem go a bit less tall cuz he has hard removal, against ADHQ deny value from their paragon.
