Despite long-term losses at Reality Labs, Meta continues to invest and has finally gained market recognition after experiencing a "trough of disillusionment." It is predicted that the global AR/VR market size will grow from $43.58 billion in 2024 to $382.87 billion in 2033, with a compound annual growth rate of 27.31%. Meta currently holds a dominant 74.6% share of the VR headset market.
