Metaplanet Launches Bitcoin Equity Financing Plan, Targeting Holdings of 210,000 $BTC

Metaplanet @Metaplanet_JP CEO Simon Gerovich @gerovich announced that the company has launched a Bitcoin-specific equity financing plan with a total size of 770.9 billion yen (approximately $5.4 billion USD), which will be achieved through the issuance of 555.00 million "moving exercise warrants." This is the first time in Japan that this type of product has been issued at a premium above the market price, thanks to Metaplanet's high volatility and liquidity.

This plan continues the success of the previous "210 Million Plan," which raised 93.3 billion yen (approximately $650.00 million USD) in 60 trading days, achieving a $BTC yield of 189%, and the stock price has more than tripled since the announcement. The company's Bitcoin holdings have reached the top ten globally.
Metaplanet has set a new goal: to hold 100,000 $BTC by the end of 2026 and increase its holdings to 210,000 by the end of 2027, accounting for 1% of the total Bitcoin supply. Gerovich stated that the company is accelerating its move towards a Bitcoin-centric future.
