Aptos CEO: Digital assets are becoming the core infrastructure of the next-generation Internet

Aptos Labs CEO Avery Ching stated at a U.S. Congressional hearing that digital assets are not merely speculative tools but are a form of neutral infrastructure driving the development of the next-generation internet. This type of infrastructure is characterized by transparency, programmability, openness, and verifiability, and is gradually evolving into a global digital public utility.

He believes that this new infrastructure will become core infrastructure supporting future societal operations, akin to electricity, running water, and roads. Tokens, as the "blood" of decentralized systems, are indispensable key elements ensuring the stable operation of blockchains and their decentralized applications (DApps).
