According to PeckShield monitoring, around 20 crypto attacks occurred in May 2025, resulting in total losses of $244 million, a decrease of 39.29% from April. The top five hacking incidents were:

Cetus Protocol stolen $220 million (1.57 billion recovered, equivalent to 71% of the stolen funds);
Cork Protocol ($12 million);
A suspected North Korea-related hack ($5.2 million);
Token MBU ($2.2 million) and MaplestoryU ($1.2 million).
