Tanssi continues to gain traction within the RWA and PayFi vertical – it turns out a lot of RWA and payment/stablecoin projects want their own appchains.

A lot of these projects are based in Latin America, an emerging market with high potential that Tanssi is slowly capturing.

So why are RWA and PayFi projects picking Tanssi to launch an appchain?

1. Fast Finality
These projects often need to process thousands of transactions on a regular basis, so they need fast and deterministic finality. Fast finality is something rollups are inherently bad at, so it’s simply not a good fit for them.

2. Developer experience
Tanssi abstracts everything developers need to launch a chain, this includes shared security (which means not having to bootstrap a validator set and having to attract economic security to those validators), decentralized sequencing, data availability, and consensus. Having to deal with all those infra components yourself requires know-how, time, capital, and energy.

3. Customizability
With Tanssi, developers can customize the logic of their chains to a greater extent than other solutions – for example, EVM developers can leverage precompiled contracts that allow them to tap into Substrate native functionalities (which offers functionalities that would otherwise not be possible natively in EVM world) using Solidity – things like onchain governance, onchain identity for whitelisting addresses and compliance, proxies for account abstraction, and batched calls for improved UX (among other things).

4. Sovereignty & Decentralization
Many of the projects building on Tanssi want sovereign environments to build in; however, they do not feel comfortable with the tradeoffs centralized sequencers entail. Tanssi is built as a permissionless protocol that provides a set of diversified validators and sequencers on demand – similar to what AWS did with compute.
