In May 2025, the crypto payment service provider Crydit launched a Visa debit card product supporting stablecoins globally, enabling users to make real-world payments using digital assets such as $USDT, USDC, DAI, USD1, and others.
Users can use stablecoins via wallets on the Crydit platform. The system transfers corresponding assets from custodians (such as Cobo and Ceffu) to the spending account through smart contracts to enable payments. This process combines on-chain control with traditional payment interfaces, aiming to enhance the practicality of stablecoins.
Main features and advantages include:
According to Crydit's official disclosure, its debit card service covers more than 210 countries and regions, supports automatic conversion of over 160 fiat currencies, and connects to more than 300 international payment channels. The platform has served over 100 thousand users with a total transaction volume exceeding 1 billion USD. It supports payment scenarios for high-value assets such as real estate, automobiles, and luxury goods.
Technology and security design
The Crydit card supports contactless Visa debit card technology and enables rapid transfers between stablecoin and fiat accounts. User operations such as recharge, withdrawal, and transfers can be completed within seconds. The platform has local offices in the UK, Hong Kong, Dubai, Denmark, and holds multiple regional financial compliance licenses (such as Hong Kong MSO and European VASP).
All cards undergo Visa KYC authentication and support global usage. Additionally, Crydit employs 3DS dynamic verification and a dual notification system (in-app and SMS) to enhance account security. Card funds are managed by third-party custodial platforms; Crydit does not directly handle user funds.
Partnerships and expansion directions
Crydit is advancing the "Big Union" cooperation program, partnering with multiple crypto projects and institutions to promote the application of crypto card products. It currently supports various card types including "payroll cards," "white-label cards," and "co-branded cards," offering card face customization suitable for enterprises, brands, and individual user needs.
Moreover, Crydit has established an 8-tier VIP system that provides different levels of cashback and other benefits. According to current platform policies, new users receive corresponding rewards upon card issuance.
