A lawyer supporting $XRP, John Deaton, proposed a list for the cryptocurrency "Mount Rushmore" Hall of Fame, suggesting that Ripple's co-founder Jed McCaleb and CTO David Schwartz should be placed alongside Bitcoin's creator Satoshi Nakamoto and Ethereum's co-founder Vitalik Buterin. Deaton emphasized McCaleb's contributions to the creation of $XRP and the $XRP Ledger, as well as Schwartz's significant role in early blockchain technology patents and the development of the $XRP Ledger. Additionally, he nominated several crypto industry leaders, including Coinbase founder Brian Armstrong, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, and Ripple's current CEO Brad Garlinghouse. Deaton recommended establishing two separate "Mount Rushmores" for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to better reflect their respective contributions.
