According to TechFlow, on May 22, CNBC reported that tech giants OpenAI, Oracle, Nvidia, and Cisco announced a collaboration to build the "Stargate UAE" artificial intelligence park in the United Arab Emirates. The project is located in Abu Dhabi, covering 10 square miles with a total power capacity of 5 gigawatts.
Under the cooperation agreement, OpenAI and Oracle will manage a 1-gigawatt computing cluster built by the UAE company G42, Nvidia will provide chip support, and Cisco and SoftBank will be responsible for the connectivity infrastructure. The first 200-megawatt AI cluster is expected to be operational next year.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated: "Artificial intelligence is the most transformative force of our era. Through Stargate UAE, we are building AI infrastructure to power the UAE's grand vision."
This project is part of a series of AI collaborations announced during the Trump administration's Middle East visit last week and is also the first international version of the $100 billion joint AI infrastructure project announced by OpenAI, Oracle, and SoftBank in January this year.
