Crypto trading platform True Markets completes $11.00 million Series A funding round, led by PayPal Ventures and Variant
According to Fortune, crypto trading platform True Markets announced the completion of an $11.00 million Series A funding round, jointly led by PayPal Ventures and Variant, with existing investors such as RRE Ventures and Reciprocal Ventures participating.
The company was co-founded by former Goldman Sachs and Coinbase employees Vishal Gupta and Patrick McCreary. This week, it will launch a Solana on-chain trading application aimed at retail investors.
True Markets' core trading system, TrueX, uses a non-custodial model with assets held by Paxos, currently supporting spot trading of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. The newly launched mobile app will initially support trading of Solana ecosystem tokens, with plans to gradually expand to other major cryptocurrencies during the summer. The platform will review and list new tokens weekly, while highlighting risk warnings such as ownership concentration.
True Markets aims to attract both new and existing users by optimizing trading speed, fees, and interface design. The company currently has 10 full-time employees and plans to achieve competitive advantages in price, speed, and user experience by late summer. Previously, in autumn 2024, the company raised $9.00 million in a seed funding round.
