The Ethereum Foundation has launched the "Trillion-Level Security" initiative aimed at enhancing the security standards of the Ethereum blockchain to meet the demands of a global financial network valued at trillions of dollars. The initiative encompasses three strategic components: first, releasing a comprehensive security overview analyzing Ethereum's strengths and vulnerabilities; second, patching high-risk attack vectors; and third, strengthening the sharing of security best practices within the ecosystem. Currently, the Ethereum blockchain protects assets exceeding 63 billion USD, but the Foundation believes further security enhancements are necessary to surpass the safeguards of traditional financial infrastructure. The plan is co-led by EF protocol security lead Fredrik Svantes and management team member Josh Stark. Ecosystem guardians include SEAL 911 co-founder Samczsun, Sigma Prime co-founder Mehdi Zerouali, and Etherealize co-founder Zach Obront. This move follows the new board structure proposed by Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, aiming to uphold cypherpunk values while promoting the expansion of the DeFi network.
