Karlsen Pulse - Testnet Activation Incoming!🚀
We're excited to announce the launch of Karlsen v3.0.0, codename "Pulse" - a major protocol upgrade that prepares the network for 10 blocks per second (BPS).
This release is based on the Crescendo hardfork developed by the Kaspa team.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Kaspa core developers for their outstanding work on this highly technical achievement.
Thanks to their contributions, Karlsen can now leverage the Crescendo improvements to enhance bandwidth and throughput.
🔧 What’s changing
-⚡ Transition to 10 BPS, increasing network bandwidth by 10x
• 💡 PoUW groundwork enabled by KIP-14: payloads now allow the network to embed compute tasks and proofs directly into the chain
• 🔐 Stronger security through increased miner competition and higher MEV resistance
📅 Testnet activation scheduled for:
🕖 Wednesday, May 14, 2025 @ 11:04 AM GMT
This is not just a performance upgrade - it’s the beginning of a new phase for Karlsen.
With higher throughput and embedded compute logic, we're building a network optimized for decentralized usefulness.
📦Activated KIPs in this release:
KIP-4, KIP-9, KIP-10, KIP-13, KIP-14
Core to the 10 BPS transition. Introduces transaction payloads, unlocking structured data in blocks - essential for PoUW anchoring.
📢 Node Operators:
