Polygon achieved multiple ecosystem advancements in Q1 2025, focusing on the activation of the pessimistic proof mechanism on the Agglayer mainnet, which laid a secure foundation for cross-chain interoperability and supported integrations with Tria, SOCKET Protocol, Karate Combat, and Rome Protocol. The Agglayer roadmap continues to advance, planning to launch multi-stack support and fast finality features to enhance the security and low latency of blockchain interoperability. On the network side, Polygon PoS saw moderate growth in activity, with daily active addresses increasing by 4.4% quarter-over-quarter and daily transaction volume rising by 8.0%. Stablecoins became the category with the most active addresses on Polygon PoS, with supply growing 23.3% quarter-over-quarter to 2 billion USD. DeFi and NFT activities also rebounded. NFT daily transaction volume increased by 68.2%, mainly driven by tokenized assets such as Pokémon NFTs on the Courtyard platform. Tokenization of real-world asset projects accelerated, reinforcing Polygon's position as a scalable infrastructure layer adopted by institutions.
