Singapore's Gulf Bank announced that former U.S. Federal Reserve Vice Chairman Randal Quarles will serve as Vice Chairman of its newly established Global Advisory Board, assisting in promoting the international development strategy of its digital banking. The Advisory Board is chaired by Amy Li, founder of Whampoa Group, with members including Min Fan, co-founder of Trip.com; Louis Zhang, founding CEO of Boyu Capital; Sheikh Mohammed Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Beyon Digital; and Jihan Wu, Chairman of Matrixport. Supported by Bahrain's sovereign wealth fund Mumtalakat and Singapore's Whampoa Group, Gulf Bank is the first fully licensed digital bank in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, capable of onboarding customers globally online and providing services to cryptocurrency clients.
