According to TechFlow, on May 5th, 99Bitcoins reported that Cardano is preparing to launch the Ouroboros Leios upgrade, aimed at significantly enhancing network scalability. This upgrade will improve performance by decoupling the three stages of transaction transmission, validation, and block ordering.
It is reported that after the upgrade, Cardano's transaction processing speed is expected to increase from the current less than 20 transactions per second to over 10 thousand, theoretically reaching up to 1 million transactions per second. Additionally, Cardano plans to integrate technologies such as Ouroboros Peras, the $Hydra Layer 2 scaling solution, and the Midgard optimistic roll-up platform to further enhance network performance. Currently, Cardano is in the Voltaire development phase, led by the Input Output Global (IOG) team.
