According to TechFlow, on May 1st, Chainwire reported that BNB Chain released its Model Context Protocol (MCP) to developers this week. This open protocol standardizes two-way communication between AI applications and external systems, providing Web3 developers with a plug-and-play AI agent integration solution.
As a core component of the "AI-first" strategy, MCP connects blockchain data and AI models through standardized interfaces, eliminating the need for developers to customize development for each tool or dataset.
MCP addresses the key challenge of building intelligent Web3 agents — context management — allowing developers to directly access a standardized framework designed specifically for Web3 and AI collaboration without separately developing integration solutions for each tool or dataset.
The protocol features four core characteristics: employing privacy protection mechanisms to handle sensitive data; providing on-chain interaction audit trails; ensuring encrypted security of AI models; and integrating compliant AML/KYC verification tools. Developers can currently participate in the protocol’s development via the official GitHub repository.
