Aptos is turning the "global transaction engine" into reality, gradually building a moat in the public chain competition through high-performance infrastructure and a diverse ecosystem layout.

In an exclusive interview with PANews, @Aptos early founding engineer Sherry Xiao shared how the team leverages Meta system-level engineering experience to continuously iterate on consensus (Raptr), parallel execution (Block-STM), sharding (Shardines), and other layers, achieving an expected million TPS. They also optimize asset security with Move language, support account abstraction and permission signatures, providing developers with differentiated capabilities.

On the ecosystem front, Aptos currently natively supports $USDT, $USDC, and USDE. The on-chain stablecoin market cap and TVL have both surpassed $1 billion, with daily on-chain transaction volumes reaching tens of millions. DeFi is the current重点支持方向, with the team deploying a $2 million fund and LFM acceleration plan to support core protocols like DEX, lending, and LSD, while also advancing integration with RWA projects and payment institutions.

For users, Aptos emphasizes breaking down barriers to entry with privacy protection and Web2-level experience, such as zk login, streaming payments, and Keyless wallets. The team is also continuously cultivating the developer ecosystem in Hong Kong, Singapore, and other regions, introducing new talent through Movemaker community collaborations with universities.

Despite recent personnel changes, Sherry states that the direction remains unchanged. The team is now more focused on core tasks: "making on-chain payments as simple as sending a message via WhatsApp." As stablecoins and on-chain transaction scenarios continue to expand, Aptos aims to leverage high performance and practical usability to tell a story of a truly user-facing public chain.
