According to TechFlow, on May 1st, Tech in Asia reported that Los Angeles-based satellite manufacturer Apex has completed a new funding round of 200 million USD, aimed at enhancing the production capacity of its standardized satellite platform.
This round was led by Point72 Ventures, co-led by 8VC, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Washington Harbour Partners, and StepStone Group. Since its establishment in 2022, Apex has raised over 300 million USD in total funding.
Apex plans to use this capital to improve the operations of its manufacturing facility, which currently can produce up to 12 satellite platforms per month.
