Asset management company Bitwise has registered a $Near Protocol ETF in Delaware, a move that has triggered a rise in $NEAR's price with the potential for a breakout. Bitwise registered the fund on April 24 under the name "BITWISE $NEAR ETF," marking the first step in its plan to submit a spot $NEAR ETF application to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This initiative will provide institutional investors with a channel to access the $Near Protocol ecosystem and is expected to drive $NEAR's price upward. Bitwise has previously submitted ETF applications for Solana, XRP, Dogecoin, and Aptos to the SEC, but none of these funds have been approved yet. Although the SEC has shown a relatively friendly stance toward the crypto industry, the approval process remains slow. This registration is positive news for $NEAR's price, which has increased following the announcement.
