Kenny Li, co-founder of $Manta Network, revealed a Zoom phishing attack initiated by the North Korean state-sponsored hacking group Lazarus Group. The attackers used a real-time recording of a familiar person to try to entice Li into downloading malware. Li identified the suspicious nature of the attack and quickly exited the meeting, then requested identity verification via Telegram, but the other party deleted all messages and blocked him. Li believes the attackers used past recordings of real team members and warned the crypto community to be vigilant against any requests to download. Members of ContributionDAO also experienced similar attacks.
