Therefore, this former Chairman of the SEC will have to wait longer before officially becoming the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York (SDNY). The position of U.S. Attorney for the Southern District is highly scrutinized as this federal trial court frequently handles significant corporate criminal cases.
