A lot is coming for $dYdX in 2025 on the software side, so let's have a look at the roadmap ahead:
Immediate Priorities (Next Two Months)
🔹 Indexer Reliability:
The $dYdX Chain performs well, but the website stability suffers in volatile markets due to Indexer issues. It's a key priority for $dYdX to make sure the platform is reliable at all times.
🔹 Faster Deposits & Withdrawals:
Partnering with Skip, deposit and withdrawal times will shrink from 20 minutes to under 1. It's a key priority to simplifying crypto access to the $dYdX Chain. In the longer term, IBC Eureka will help take this to the next level with EVM support.
🔹 New Mobile Interface
A simplified app targets the next wave of perpetual traders, with mobile web expansion enhancing retail reach soon after.
🔹 New Trading Features:
Following $dYdX traders' feedback, a faster front-end rewrite will be a priority, with the introduction of new order types (reduce-only, scale, TWAP), and features like funding rate history.
Medium-Term Vision (Rest of 2025)
Once these priorities have been addressed a broader roadmap for the year takes shape. New plans will include exciting features, such as broadening market access with long-tail and unique assets via new oracles, pre-launch and real-world asset support, Ethereum connectivity through IBC Eureka for spot trading and multi-collateral, MegaVault enhancements for liquidity, wallet and aggregator partnerships, better API trading, and technical groundwork for community-driven tokenomics like rewards and fee discounts.
