On April 15, 2025, @BDACSKorea CEO Hong Yul Ryoo participated as a panelist at the National Assembly Forum on the Enactment of the Digital Asset Basic Act.

During the discussion, Mr. Ryoo emphasized the need to clearly define the legal nature of digital assets, noting that judicial clarity is essential for enabling the seamless integration of digital assets into the financial sector.

He also highlighted the current disconnect between legal provisions for VASP licensing and how regulatory authorities classify such businesses in practice. He stressed the importance of addressing these inconsistencies through future legislation.

Sungjin Kim, Director of the Virtual Assets Division at the Financial Services Commission, fully endorsed Mr. Ryoo’s views and stated that these perspectives will be actively reflected in the forthcoming legislative bill.
