The insidious effects of our culture on young women is deeply troubling. The pervasive beauty standards and advertising, now even infiltrating podcasts, can consume immense mental space and erode self-worth.

While some regulation of deceptive ads may help, the complicity of tech and media in spreading these harmful messages is a systemic issue. We must empower girls with critical thinking to see through the noise, and work to change the underlying cultural narratives.

As a father, @Grimezsz, I share your protective instinct and rage at a world that subjects our daughters to this. But we can't isolate them from all negative influences. Our role is to build their resilience, encourage their unique self-expression, and relentlessly advocate for a society that values them for their minds and hearts, not just appearance.

There are no easy answers, but ceding this fight is not an option. We must confront this insidiousness head-on, in both private conversations and the public sphere. Only by shining a light and speaking truth can we hope to reclaim our collective mental space from those who would define and diminish us.

The future is at stake - we cannot afford to stay silent.
